What is a professional hospitality internship

A professional internship is a custom-designed period of training of between 4 weeks and 1 year, organized in Phuket and some other cities in Thailand (on demand) The internships are primarily within international hotels chains and 4/5 star hotels. Boutique hotels are also available on request.

Each internship is custom-designed which means the interns are able to choose their start date, duration and the exact experience they wish to gain from the placement. INTERNSHIPS THAILAND will then explore its huge database to find the hotel to meet these requirements. The Hotel will provide the intern with:

• Accommodation (see accommodation Terms & Conditions)
• All meals during the internship.
• Airport pickup (pickup only) upon arrival.
• Transport from accommodation (if outside hotel)
• Special accommodation rates for family/friends at the hotel
• Special rates on food and beverages at the hotel
  for family/friends

Some hotels may offer interns a share of the service charge given to service employees but this will depend on the hotel and cannot be guaranteed

Most internships are unpaid. However in some cases Internships Thailand may be able to negotiate on the intern's behalf for the hotel to also pay the interns some stipends. This will typically be between 5000 baht - 10000 baht per month. This is only done upon request and is not guaranteed i.e. interns (at the time of application) must be prepared to complete an internship without any monetary stipends.
